What Information do we collect?
We will collect information which Customers will voluntarily submit through the use of the Service, which may also include Personal Information (as defined below), either of the Customer’s representative uploading the data or of the Customer’s end users.
“Personal Information” means information that can be directly associated with a specific person, such as name, gender, birth date, marital status, professional experience, education, or credit card information.
How is the Customer Information used? With whom do we share Customer Information?
We will use the Customer Information to provide our Customers with the Service.
Epistema may also use Customer Information internally – for example, for statistical purposes, to help diagnose problems with Epistema’s servers, to make the Site or Service more useful, or to customize the Site or Service and similar activities.
We may use and disclose Customer Information that is collected through the Service with our trusted third party service providers or with members of our corporate family.
We may also disclose Customer Information if we have good faith to believe that disclosure of such information is helpful or reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with any applicable law, regulation. Legal process or governmental request; (ii) enforce our policies (including our Agreement), including investigations of potential violations thereof; (iii) investigate, detect, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities or other wrongdoing, suspected fraud or security issues; (iv) to establish or exercise our rights to defend against legal claims; (v) prevent harm to the rights, property or safety of us, our users, yourself or any third party; or (vi) for the purpose of collaborating with law enforcement agencies and/or in case we find it necessary in order to enforce intellectual property or other legal rights.
For how long do we retain Customer Information we collect?
Please note that unless a Customer instructs us otherwise, Epistema will retain all the Customer Information it collects. Epistema may also retain information it collects in order to comply with Epistema’s legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Epistema may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at Epistema’s sole discretion.
You can request at any time that Epistema will erase your Customer Information, (except for data that Epistema is required to keep under applicable law), by emailing Epistema at email@example.com.
When Customers use the Service, Epistema may store cookies on Customer’s’ computer in order to facilitate and customize the use of our Service. A cookie is a small data text file, which a website stores on a computer’s hard drive (if the web browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify a user to us. Epistema’s cookies may store information regarding Customer’s approval of the use of the Service. Users are always free to decline our cookies if their browser permits, but this may require reapproving the use of the Service, in case a user chooses to use it again.
How do we safeguard our Customer Information?
Epistema forbids users under the age of 18 to register to or use the Service. In the event that Epistema becomes aware that Personal Information of a user under the age of 18 has been shared any information, by the user itself or by any other third party, Epistema will discard such information.
